[While there were a lot of things that would scare Takeru, this was on the top of the list right now. With all the chaos that's been going on, he wasn't even sure what to do. As of late, a lot of people were starting to worry about him. And the worst part about it?

He couldn't really talk about it. The most he could do was say something to the other Chosen Children but...it didn't feel quite the same.

As he sat on a bench in a park, he started mumbling to himself. Just when would this whole thing end?]

W-Well ... y-yeah, kinda. Don't you have a crush on someone? I-I mean, you and Hikari-chan are super close, I kind of just assumed you liked her.

[ She's looking away because oh god she's blushing and she just knows that he's gonna tell her he likes her in that way and hnnng.

It's okay, just. Confirming what she already knew. ]

[It didn't take a genius to see that there was something wrong with Chika. Although, what she said made him raise an eyebrow]

What are you talking about? She's my best friend but that's about it. I think Hikari-chan is seeing someone else anyway.

[But now he had to narrow his eyes a little before looking at the other girl]

....Can I ask you something? Do you have a crush on me?

[and there goes the bombshell]

[ She's looking away from him right now. ]

I-It's okay if you don't feel like that, though.

[ Why would he even think of her as more than a friend? ]

[Well. That...wasn't what he was expecting. Which was why he just stood there in dumbfounded awe before he started chuckling to himself.

Maybe even louder than he should have!

Oh thank goodness, he thought to himself, he wasn't the only one who felt the same]

A-And what if I do? What are you going to say about that?

[ Well now she's speechless. She never expected he would feel the same way she did, not in a million years.

She's just staring at you now, cheeks slowly growing red. ]

[In response, Takeru's just going to keep on laughing! Not that her reaction was funny (which it kind of was!), but perhaps he was just laughing out of relief!]

You should have told me sooner, Chika-chan! I really never thought you would like me back!

I-I didn't think you'd like me, either!

[ Blushing SO MUCH. ]

H-How long have you felt like this?! I-I mean ... um. Wow ...

[Now that was a good question. When did he start feeling this way?]

....I think maybe a year ago? After I got to know you a little bit, that's why I noticed something felt strange whenever I'm around you.

... Oh.

[ fkgnrkngkrng ]

I-I guess I kinda started feeling that way around the same time ... I-I mean, when I first saw you I guess I kind of had a small crush, but I thought you and Hikari-chan might have been together. And I got to know you more, and when I found out you weren't with anyone romantically I tried to kinda squash my hopes because I never thought you'd feel the way I do ... plus you're really popular with all the girls at your school. They kind of look at Hikari-chan and I a bit funny whenever we're around you.

[As Takeru listened to Chika's story, all he could do was give a sigh before messing around with her hair a little]

Yeah but I don't think you have to worry about them. If they are bothering you, you can always ask Hikari-chan or me and we'll help you out. Just because they're jealous doesn't mean they can do that to you.

And I don't think it's very fair to both you and Hikari-chan either.

[ Pouuuuut. And then she smiles a little at him while fixing her hair. ]

I'll try not to. They'll probably be focusing more on me if they find out we're together, though.

Then let them. It's their problem, not ours. I don't think there should be anything to worry about.

[ She laughs a little. She was a bit nervous, but if she talked to her father about it he'd probably tell her something akin to being a man and defending her honor and the honor of her new boyfriend.

... Her family. ]

Exactly so you shouldn't worry so much! And if there's a problem, you can come to me. I am suppose to be your new boyfriend aren't I?

[Although, his words did have a slight hesitation to them. He didn't mind the idea of her being his girlfriend but...

He never exactly been in a relationship before. Much less his own issues with his own family...]

Supposed to be? I'm pretty sure we made that official.

[ She did notice that hesitation, though. ]

... Right? Is ... that okay?

Of course it is! It wouldn't have said it if it weren't!

[He said before flashing a quick smile to her. While he was trying to ressure him that he's okay, he probably wasn't]
