For Dipping Dots
Whatever those games have taught her, they were clearly lying to her. As she stared at her Eevee, she just simply stared at it having no idea what to do. While she knew she was suppose to train it, it was another thing entirely to see it in real life!
To see a Pokemon battle in real life or not, that was the question. Whether it was nobler in the mind to see them get hurt or have them suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortunate...
Or you know. Just not see her Eevee battle at all?

He looks at Lamby for the answer. "I just let them do what they want to do. If Sheep wants to attack the other Pokémon, why should I stop him? If Prince Fuffball wants to fight, you should let him.
Might sound weird, but they can understand us. Some of them are as smart or smarter than people."

But at the same time, the more that Mabel thought about it? The more this was starting to sound rather familiar to her.
"That is the right thing to do...isn't it?"

"The right thing to do is ask him yourself. If he wants to get stronger and fight, then don't stop him. If not... we'll figure something out."
It's the easiest thing to do. The last part is making him feel unsure about his own choices when it comes to battling now. Dipper needs to have a talk with his Pokémon again.

Of course, the Pokemon gave a happy chirp in response which only made the girl frown a little. As much as she didn't want him to fight, she didn't have a choice did she?
Her grip on the Pokemon loosen before she looked back to her brother with a soft smile. "...Alright, Dipstick, this sounds a lot like your forte. How do I get him to be stronger?" She doesn't like it but if that's what her Pokemon wants...

Then they can figure out the moveset and what level Pokémon Prince Fluffball can fight and beat. Or Dipper can use his own Pokémon to get Mabel used to battling.
"You can use your Dex to tell you. We gotta know the moves, too!"
no subject
"How should I know? When I got here, I know that Prince Fluffball wouldn't leave my side and I just know that he was mine!"
But that didn't stop her from looking up her pokedex and searching through a bunch of stuff. "Man, this isn’t that much different from all that nerd stuff you do when you’re reading! But let’s see...something about a sand-attack, tackle, growl...and baby-doll eyes…?” Pause. “...Really….?”
no subject
Nerd stuff. Really? Rude.
"Baby-Doll Eyes is a Fairy type move. He's gotta learn that one to become a Sylveon. It's a prerequisite, just like there's different ones for Espeon and Umbreon, too. It's not an effective move in battle, but it's something he learns. When he turns into a Sylveon, he can learn Draining Kiss."
Ask him what that moves does!
no subject
"No, I've just been wandering around with him for the past couple of days! But he seems to be doing okay though." Nevermind that there was the occasional urge for him to fight and she had to calm him down but that was for another story.
Right now though?
"Draining kiss?" Blink blink. "Like what? It's a kiss that's suppose to drain other people? Hey, he's not going to turn into a vampire is he?" And here, she'll give a gasp! "That would make him into a vampire fairy type wouldn't it?"
no subject
Then again, Mabel would not care about death machines, would she.
"No? I don't think? It's supposed to drain health, not blood... so maybe an energy vampire?" That sounds even worse than a regular vampire. Please stop.
no subject
That and a cute little death machine sounds kind awesome. Fighting evil with nothing but a cute monster. How cool was that?
"Energy vampire?" See that? Now that was the sound of her brain ticking away from all the ideas running through her mind right now. "Then you know what? If we manage to get a cute fairy energy vampire out of Prince Fluffball, then I'm sold! It'll be only us against the world! Can't you feel how great it's going to be?!"
For better or for worse.
